Keith, I had 2 of them and also a Nighthawk. Fine guitars for sure. The Blueshawk is very versatile but I wouldn't consider it good for metal. It is a great blues guitar and very well made.
I had a Nighthawk for a while. Sort of wish that I hadn't sold it, but not too much. One of the things I didn't like about it was the Fender-scale. If you're gonna play a Gibson, play a Gibson, I thought.
As to metal, I wouldn't think so. But you know better than I that one does not live on metal alone!
Thanks, John - I may call the guy back in a day or two, and see if he still has it.
I've got one. I gigged with it for a while in fact. Mine has a factory Bigsby on it so it is pretty versatile. Not a metal guitar but it is a kick ass rock/pop/blues guitar. The neck pickup is great for slide too. Having said that, I'm thinning the herd and I'm selling mine - it is in my link in the classifieds and now it's on that popular auction site. The reason for selling it is that ever since I put P-90's in my PRS I don't even reach for the Blueshawk anymore .
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.
