Cheers for that auction Snoogans mate. Unfortunately the price it is at the moment is the top price Id pay. I want to pay less than £150 after shipping and all that jazz. I quite like this one but I dont know how much that'll go for. Maybe the guy will cancel the auction?.... Who am I kidding lol.

Anyway, wish me luck.

I had that model Ibanez LP back in the day; they play phenomenally and sound great as well! Other off-brand copies,
I don't know. Ask ALL sellers of off-brand copies if the body is solid or plywood; just because it's MIJ and has a figured top doesn't mean it isn't plywood. If they say they don't know, it's probably plywood.

Have you played some Les Pauls, James?
They're nice, but very heavy, and the upper fret access isn't great. If you know what you're getting into, fine, but
if not, you could be disappointed. It ain't a 650XL as far as playability up high!
Ron is the MAN!!!!

Oh yeah I know they're a whole different ball game to Jackson and that. Its mainly for this bluesy metal pub rock Im getting going for the summer. Im not expecting to be able to shred on it or anything. And I know that the neck access is better on the bolt ons, I just kinda want a set neck to make the experience real
It started when I played my cousins Les Paul Custom. It was never a major jonesing for a Les Paul, but its always been there.

Ill keep an eye on that Ibanez to see how much itll go for. Its at the top end of what I have now though. Ah well, such is life.

It seems the prices are getting a bit out there. You are almost paying for the real thing in some cases.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...723341195&rd=1

On harmony Central people paid anywhere from $1500-$3000 for the real Jimmy page sig Les Paul! And this guy has a BIN of over $3000!

Factor in the shipping and you are almost better off buying the real thing localy.
