Has anyone seen or played the new Ibanez SZ series guitars. Mahogany bodies and necks, set neck, tunamatic string thru, and most importantly a little thicker neck that a regular RG series, oh and abalone dot inlays, bound neck and tunamatic string thru bridge, MOP or maybe abalone inlaid logo and the best of all, one of the models comes in ALL Natural Mahogany Now this is an Ibanez I would like to try!!Jack.

Re: Ibanez SZ Series-Looks Nice
Thanks Joe, I will have to play them both. I would like a good tunamatic guitar, I will try those 2 and I am seriously thinking of buying a new Carvin California Carved top, they are sweet and they have one that is all natural mahogany!! About $1000 with my specs. Jack.

Re: Ibanez SZ Series-Looks Nice
I played a few of the Schecters when buying my Epi LP and they are sweet. The higher end models have actual Duncan pickups in them, and if you consider the price of upgrading to those afterwards, the guitars are really a bargain.

Re: Ibanez SZ Series-Looks Nice
I'm in the market for a new guitar. I'm an Ibanez guy, but I fell in love with the Schecter C-1 Classic. It has this low end that other guitars don't have. The C-1 Classic has Duncan JB's, and is only $699. The only thing I don't like, and is probably why I won't get it, is the inlay on the fretboard. There's a strange pattern, and no dots or markers. It was very difficult to play fast without using my dots as reference.
