At a local shop there is a used Striker for $99. It is metallic red with matching headstock. Chrome hardware in pretty good shape. It has a Floyd that is different than I have seen. It is marked Floyd Rose but looks like a Schaller casting on the baseplate and appears to not be a locking trem. Is it worth the 99 bucks to use as a paint project, or is this just a piece of shit? Fire away!

Re: Kramer Striker Questions
Look closely, I think that's the floyd with the strings that go through the screws that tighten the string blocks (I call them barrel screws) on the floyd. I don't think I like that trem personally. When you take a shower in space, you have to press the water onto your body to clean yourself, and then you gotta vacuum it off. - Ace Frehley

Re: Kramer Striker Questions
That would be a Floyd Rose II trem (the original version was single-locking). I've got a 600ST that had one of those... still have it actually, and the body is indeed plywood. It sounded and played awesome with an X2N and Original Floyd, served me well for many years, but it's now retired as the old wood Floyds posts moved foward.
