• bare body

I bought an unfinished strat style body yesterday and have been trying to figure out who made it.I would post pics if my camera software would work. But the body is of standard strat size HSH configuration, vintage trem route. Its a rear loader with an elongated electronics cavity (similar to a tele but on the back of the body). The body has a shorter foerarm bevel not as tapered as a Charvel or fender. The body is 1 piece of alder. the date stamp in the neck pocket says "May 1 1985"and serial number 83151 stamped into the wood also in the neck pocket.
If any one has anything like this let me know.I showed this to Bob at Willcutt Guitars(Charvel and Schecter dealer back in the 80s)and he wasn't sure. He said it could be a Schecter or Tom Anderson or Mite Mite Any ideas?

definitely need a pic. i'd say that a hsh config in 1985 would have been a rare bird...

Thats what I thought too.Its a cool body But it has a knot just below the neck pocket no big deal it would be covered by paint or a pick guard when finished. The fore arm contour has me stumped never saw one like this.
I've been all over the net looking but havn't come across anything like it.
