I'm looking at a Kramer American Baretta with an OFR, but the floyd posts are leaning forward. Can I fix this correctly at a reasonable cost? This is prety common, right? I've not really seen this before, but I hear it's fairly common.

Re: Floyd Rose Posts moving forward
If it has the old wood screw type posts, it is common for the wood in front of them to compress and the posts to lean forward. Depending on how much room you have, you could either drill and dowel them and use the original type posts, or have the post/bushing type installed.

Re: Floyd Rose Posts moving forward
So it's not too bad to repair, huh? It looks original, thinner posts than the JT5XX on my current PS4. Is it a Kramer Krime to repair one with the bushings, or is the dowel method the only way to go for future generations sake? I don't think I have the expertise to dowel and redrill and I wouldn't spend the cash, but $12 from a parts house I could swing.
Thanks for the response! When you take a shower in space, you have to press the water onto your body to clean yourself, and then you gotta vacuum it off. - Ace Frehley

I think it would be more of a crime to have the original post tear through the wood and create a pile of splinters under you fingers! It is totally up to you, and if you don't feel comfortable doing the work, have a tech do it. Then keep the receipt for the work, so if you ever resell the guitar, you can say it was a pro job and have proof.
