I was just on the WayneCharvel site and the exotic rock legends look interesting. Anyone know how close these feel to the old San Dimas Charvels?

Re: Anyone play a Wayne Guitar yet?
I haven't played one but they are made by "the man himself" and I read a review somewhere by Oz Fox of Stryper that his Wayne is very SD like, and it felt and sounded incredible. I'd like to have one myself but they are a bit too pricey for this poor fella.

Re: Anyone play a Wayne Guitar yet?
they feel nuthing like old Charvels. the necks are wide like pointy headstock necks but very fat round back profile. ive had mine since 01 & its needed more work done to it than any other guitar ive ever owned & i barely play it. If it wasnt a present from my GF it would have been sold ages ago.
BTW dont believe the hype & what "rock stars" say about them. that was something that pissed me off. when i called them to have issues taken care of....."well oz fox & eddie & warren dont have these issues with thier guitars" NO SHIT they were free, give me my guitar free & i wont have any problem with bad frets & a trem thats in the WRONG place. then spending hundreds of $ to fix it isnt a big deal. spend $1500+ & $100 issues suck ass.

Re: Anyone play a Wayne Guitar yet?
wow I didn't think responses would be so varied. I also agree that they are pricey. No one here in Boston carries them. so how about the GMW replicas they look interesting as well. Especially all the RATT designs cool........If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

Re: Anyone play a Wayne Guitar yet?
I have a Wayne parts guitar. Wayne Exotic body and Wayne neck. The guy I bought it from assembled it. Once I got it, I dialed it in and it is a great playing & great sounding guitar. The neck is awesome. It is wide and a bit chunky but it feels great. I have heard a lot of mixed views on Wayne guitars too. Guess I was lucky.

Re: Anyone play a Wayne Guitar yet?
I had a Monster.
It had Mahogany body and 2hums, fixed bridge.
The neck was beefy and wasn't like any of my old Charvels I used to own at all.
The guitar sounded great but I had hard time keeping it in Tune.
If you are looking for one, try to find reasonable used one for like $700-1000.
I would never spend close to $2000 for a new one.
and If I were to spend $700-1000, I could get myself a used GMW or even a new one!

Re: Anyone play a Wayne Guitar yet?
It seems pretty unanimous the GMW is the way to go. I will have to cruise their site and check them out in more detail.
Thanks for all of the feedback on this one!If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

Re: Anyone play a Wayne Guitar yet?
I have a Wayne, GMW, and tons of vintage and current year Charvel/Jacksons. Go with the GMW. It's the only guitar besides a Tom Anderson that when you get it out of the case it's set up and everything is perfect ready to go. The Waynes are lacking in quality.
