• I just bought an acoustic guitar/guitar store adventures.

the other day, I bought a drum kit from a garage sale for $40 (that's about $29 U.S). As it turns out, the snare alone is worth in the $175(U.S.) range. For once, it's me getting a good score rather than everyone else. I wish it was a Charvel pre-pro though.

Anyway, today I went to a local music store to get myself some tension rods, a drum key, and some sticks. When I walk in, I see guitars all over the place that are not normally there. I even recognize some of them from ten years ago. Turns out the store cleaned out their basement, and are selling of some pretty cool N.O.S stuff.

Now don't get excited, they have never carried C/J, but they did have some older Hamer, and Peavey stuff that were going for pretty cheap.

I almost walked out with a Peavey Impact (set neck, 2 hum, dbl cutaway), but decided on a really nice Samick (yeah that's right Samick) acoustic, for $179!!!! ($132 U.S).

I might go back and put a deposit on the Peavey.

THe new Samick line seems to be gathering a cult following as of late. I guess since they make the guitars for so many other "brands" it only makes sense that they have a ton of experience in the field. I haven't had a chance to play any yet, but the pics seem really sweet. Why don't you give us a full review after you have played it a while?
