You guys and your full pointy Pre-Pro Stars are all f#cked...this is where it's at:
The above completely kicks ass - 1980's 13 ply exotic lumber, bound plywood neck, mystery meat fretboard, and a Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge...the mystery meat fretboard isn't quite as bright as ebony, but not as warm as maple, and really sings....yeah thats it, the fretboard sings. Body used to be a Star, but the points were cut off in 1990 with a Skill saw, and rounded with a Sureform. The pink volume knob does go to 11, and the Gorilla Grip pad next to the bridge was reccomended by Steve Vai to get my wrist up off the top. This guitar has been played by Fijians on Beqa Island through a Scholz Rockman and battery powered speakers- the first time they ever heard an electric guitar.....seriously
Admit it....you're envious...may trade for something but not likely.
If you're interested in a Stubby Star conversion, let me know....I'll even hand write the Charvel logo on your headstock too.
