Ran across this. Could be interesting for an experiment. Yeah, yeah, I know it's not the same as a real Les Paul, but interesting none the less . Les Paul Body

that lp custom lite looks pretty neat. even if its Barney-fied and everything. and those custom lite's are pretty nice. i hear they're kinda far and few between if you're into 'em/ but that looks like a neat guitar. weird control layout, i fgured even the custom lites had the 2 vol 2 tones. I have a moded '81 LPC with a later added kalher and you know what, it kicks ass. Great tone, action and playability. I got it off E-scam a few years ago and after a fret job (which I knew it needed when I bought it, it is that sh!t).
I had always wanted a Paul and with the trem, I could not say no.
Just thought I would share."I''ll say what I'm gonna say, cuz I'm going to Hell anyway!"

Re: Ever want that Les Paul w/ a Floyd?
is it pretty easy '59? doin' the floyd thing?
the reason i ask is, i read an article in Gibson, and Neil says that Custom Shop had to get some special neck alignment on his Black Beauty's so he can drop the Floyd in.

Re: Ever want that Les Paul w/ a Floyd?
when i reset the neck it is super pricy, it'll run about $600.usd in my shop(labor only)...............i usually build a spacer and install the floyd on lesters, works fine and cuts the cost in half.........................not the kinda job for the backyard tweaker.

Re: Ever want that Les Paul w/ a Floyd?
There is a L.P.standard in a store close to me that has a trem called a Bowen Handle.Basically it fits in the studs of the stop tail piece. The trem spring works via a large spring like a bigsby.Cool thing is you can remove it and install a stop tail piece and your back to a regular L.P.Really? well screw Mark Twain.

Yeah, that's the POS NOTP was talking about. Same unit, different name. The handle rocks the string ends forward and the strings are supposed to slide across the tune-o-matic. At full tension.
That ***** ain't coming back in any sembelence of tune!
