  • Eastwood Guitars...Funky n' cool

Okay, I know most of us here obviously have a strong preference for the body styles of Jacksons and Charvels. But I'll be the first one to admit that I also think some of those old 60s shapes are pretty bitchin' too. You know the ones I'm talking about: Vox. Danelectro. Mosrite (hey, if it's good enough for Johnny Ramone, it's good enough for me.) Etc.

Anyway, I just stumbled across this collection of guitars -- brand name is Eastwood. They're all imports, but seem to be made well. And the styles/colors etc. are just outstanding. Plus, they're damn cheap!

    Check em out:

Also, check out the rest of the stuff on this guy's site My Rare Guitars It's got some very cool stuff...a fun site to click around in.

As for me, I might be shooting for one of the blueburst Hi Flyers...too cool.

They are made in China. The get really good reviews. I know their archtop jazz line is supposed to be excellent for the money too.

My neighbor and former band mate had one of the Corona T (SG style) guitars with a Bigsby knock off. It was a good enough guitar for the money - he paid about $250 shipped from their demo page.

It really needed new pickups and a lot of the hardware seemed cheap to me. I'm not so sure they're a good deal in the end.
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

lol, i'm with ya, still, it looks like it would hurt if you slapped someone in the face with it...(lol, a cockslapper)

ilove 60's guitar designs, but that bass is pretty icky, imho.
