New GMW Headstock

Just got off the phone with Lee. We were discussing his plans for the new GMW headstock. Going to be exciting to see these and to get one. The new headstocks will be 3D with 6 in-line tuners. They will be working on them this weekend.

I will pass along more information as it is provided.

I definitely want to be one of the first to get a GMW built with the new headstock.

No: I spoke to Lee yesterday as well (my 2nd GMW was shipped yesterday) and it's due to legal complications as Lee isn't licenced by Fender (and they're starting to get legal!).
Apparently Warmouth and Allparts are licenced to produce replacement parts for Fender products, which can then be assembled by the customer, but they can't produce complete instruments. Lee isn't licenced and does produce complete instruments, hence the problem.
I think the new design should look really good, but only time will tell how many people can live without strat-heads from GMW!

Hi Econ, yes it's at GMW.
Lee is waiting for the custom order Dimarzio pickups to install.It would take couple of weeks because Dimarzio is behind of custom orders.

About GMW guitars with new headstock, I hope they would come up with something cool. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Hrm, I wonder what this meens for me. My guitar is about 3 months down the line, and has a strat head.

Probably means they can finish existing workorders, but can't take any NEW orders for FMIC designed headstocks...which sucks...

Of course, the REALLY crafty can just get the bodies and paintjobs done at GMW, then slap on a Warmoth strathead neck... just remember to specify ya want the straight (Not rounded) fingerboard end...now a $15 upcharge last time I ordered one from them.... <font color="blue"> </font>
