• USA Washburn Dime model Anyone ?

Has anyone here tried one of these guitars?
I am talking about the U.S.A. made ones.
If so, please post your opinions and also pics if you have.
I am thinking of getting one if I can find one with Blue lightning sky.

My cousin had a D3 ( the USA Custom ). It had one of the best necks ever. It was a V shaped neck that was very thin. It played and sounded great. If the shape is comfortable to you they are great guitars.

I didn't know it had a v shape neck.
I always thought it had Jackson type neck.
At least round neck or thin.

I found this pic and looks so cool!

I tried one for a few minutes over at the local GC. It was pretty nice but set up so horribly that I just couldn't spend much time with it. I wouldn't mind sitting down for a while with one that was set up and ready to go.

I played on of the import.. The 2ST or something.. black with silver bevels.. looked awesome but I didn't get along with the shape..

yeah that diamond plated kinda looks like his current diamond plated Reinventing the Steel axe.

I also found this kick ass looking one from Guitar Asylum.

I only wish the headstock was Jackson reversed head or something

You should look at a USA Dean Timecapsule ML (the original Dimebag). I haven't played a USA Dime that could hold a candle to a TC Dean. Just my opinion - I obviously have not played all of the USA Dimes.

But they don't come with Floyd Rose, don't they?

Them come with either a Floyd or a Tun-o-matic.

DJM i just played one of the washburn USA ML copies...dont know the model, but it had the flag graphic & the guy at GC said it was the top of the line dimebag model at the time. played real nice, & i hate to say it but it felt alot more solid than a vintage Dean ML. i havent played a TC but im one of those A$$hats who doesnt believe in re-issues. the neck seemed alot more stable than an old deans. The V neck felt real nice & it was alot better than i expected. honestly when i saw it, i said to myself i gotta try this POS & walked away thinking it was a really nice guitar.

Thank you for the info!
One thing I found out, it is so hard to find U.S. made Dime model!
I used to see tons of these but not anymore after Pantera broke up!
I see imports but hard to find the U.S. models...
Musiciansfriend has couple of U.S. models but they are newer versions which I don't like the way it looks...
E-bay has one but I prefer of graphic or older Dean ML shape body.. or the Metal top one like above.

My search will continue..
