Ok, i know these guitars are saught after, and im wondering what the street value could be. I looked on ebay, there is one for over 700 right now. Only difference is the neck, and the pickups. The one i am looking at is black, and almost dead mint condition. Ltd hardshell case, abalone dots, LTD at the 12th, rosewood fret board. This thing still has the plastic on the back, and on the tuners. Is this model a desired model? If i buy it, its for sale for 400 including the case. What would you guys do?

Re: Questions about this LTD explorer...
Larry, I don't know anything about LTDs, but I just did a quick search and they make a bunch of different Explorer models (I stopped counting at 7) with a huge range in price. A couple go for under $400 new at MF, so in order to know if it's a good deal you need to know exactly what model it is. Good luck!

Re: Questions about this LTD explorer...
na, dude, it ain't the headstock. its the body. the ESPee boys at the ESPee board pay pretty pennies for those, especially since Hetfield uses them. For $400 and in good condition, i'd say its really great. i hear they'r great guitars, go for it, i say!

Re: Questions about this LTD explorer...
Actually, its the headstock AND the body I cant afford to pay hard cash for it unless i trade one of my guitars, or sell it. So ill get it if i can do that. I really wanted one (if i were to get one at all, i wasnt planning on ever getting one, i just always liked them) that was either the higher end LTD ones, or the EXP standard, but that would cost me a few limbs...
