well i went to the gc sale today and bought a schecter black jack. its a set neck with string through bridge, and real seymor's. i was wondering if anybody knew anything about them or if you have one how you like it. i was origanlly gonna buy the slmg, but the emg hz, and price kind of turned me off. i hope i made the right decision, because i can't find any schecter forums to find out much about it. any help would be appreciated.

Re: schecter
What body shape did you get?
They make the Blackjacks in a few of their different shapes.
Schecter makes some of the best guitars for the price, in my opinion. I have three of the S series guitars (double cutaway Les Paul Junior type body)...a devil tribal, an S1 Flame, & an S1 Jagermeister edition. Mine are pretty modified......Gibson Iommi pickups among other things....and they are really badass. They are very cool in stock form too.

Re: schecter
i got the blackjack that looks like the c-1 classic. i gotta tell you the quality of this guitar is a surprise. it's as solid as a rock, plays great, and sounds awesome. the neck is thicker then my jacksons plus painted, so i was a litlle worried, but i really like it.by the way do you know if there is a schecter forum?

Re: schecter
My main guitars are a Schecter C-1 Stealth & a SLSMG. I have a hard time deciding which is #1 sometimes
Schecter has many things going for them that alot of other companies don't right now & my future gear plans definitely include another C-1 set neck & another C-1 Classic.

Re: schecter
well how much time in gc do you have to really get to know an instrument, especially with everybody trying to overplay each other? i was more or less asking for more info on reliability seeing as there is little info on the net for them.

Re: schecter
Speaking of which, after I left here for my morning errands I popped into the local pawn shop to make a payment on a pair of ADA 2x12 split stack cabs I had on layaway. There on the wall was a black Schecter C-1 EX. The guy had it strunk with a really heavy gage, the low E had to be a .060 or .062.. so thick a ferrule was missing from popping out when restringing. Cool guitar, I got it fairly cheapo @ 230.00 given it was pretty much unplayed. Even had the stickers still.
