You could also pick up a Korean made Dean ML or V 79 series for about the same money. Actually I just saw one of the older Chzech made MLs go for under $200.

How about the Epi Pee Wee Vee? I think those go for around 200 bucks, are round horn style, and look like a damn good time!

I'm far too large of a man to play that without looking ridiculous. Or, perhaps that's your intention, to make a fool of me??!

Those are cool, in any case.

I think I've found the one I'm gettin', however... I'll let you all know soon.

Um can you say used Epiphone V? sure i knew ya could...
Look for a good condition epi gothic V. They are mohagony and made to the same specs as a US V. Yes the woods arent as choice but they are a well made guitar. And I believe Gibson has set up there own plant now so Samich might not be making them anynmore or at least not all of them. They sell for about 500 new so a used one in goo dshape would be about 300-350 ish.

Thanks, Jacksonfreak!

Umm, on the Epi Gothic V, should I go after a TOM setup or one of the ones that has a Floyd? I'd imagine the Floyd might not be of the best quality, but I don't have a locking trem guitar... Might be a nice "2 birds 1 stone" situation.

Re: What to do...

I actually bought one of the SX SST57s for my daughter and liked it so much that I picked up one for myself.

It's a better guitar than the Squier standard Strats that sell for $220 or so.
