Will a standard 11 hole american pickguard fit my Highway 1? I can't stand the single coils anymore.

Re: Which pickguard for Highway 1?
just undo the pickguard screws, lift it up and look underneath. YOu may even be able to tell by pressing down on the pickguard betwwen the pups-if it dips in, it is a pool, if not, it is routed individually.

Re: Which pickguard for Highway 1?
I don't know if Fender makes H/S/H pickguards, but they do H/H and H/S/S. You should get one of those and then cut the slots out yourself and make them bigger. Or maybe order one aftermarket from somewhere else. My USA Double Fat Strat has two humbuckers, of course, but I believe it's also routed for an S in the middle.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

Re: Which pickguard for Highway 1?
I don't think Fender uses the "swimming pool" (one big rectangle) route at all anymore. It was very unpopular. I suspect the Highway 1 has the same pickguard as the American Series Strats. Pickguard Heaven has a list of different Strats HERE that gets very specific, model-wise, but does not mention the Highway 1, suggesting that it does not have its own special pickguard.

Ask Dave, aka budman, to make you a pickguard. His stuff is the best
