Re: Washburn A10 - Where it was made?

What year?

If it is an older one, from the early 80s, it's from the Matsumoku factory in Japan. I believe newer ones are Korean.

Re: Washburn A10 - Where it was made?

Actually A10s were made in 3 different factories: 1978 - 1984 Matsumoku (Japan), 1984 - 1986 Kasuga (Japan), 1992 - 1996 Samick (Korea)........

Thanks to you both.

They do have the plate with the USA address in it right? So some people try to sell it as made in the USA...

A10s were set neck, or neckthru. No A10s were boltons, only the A5 was a bolton...........

Ooops,

That'll teach me!

BTW, do you happen to have a picture of this axe Accept2?

This guy is asking $290 for her. IS that a good price?

Thanks again...

Re: Washburn A10 - Where it was made?

I dont know what prices are like in Chile, but I guess they are more than in North America, so 290 may very well be a good price there. 290 is about what they are worth here, but in excellent condition, its the high end of the pay spectrum, because most people want an A20 over an A10.
The 10 is similar to that A20 lookswise, and its a good guitar:

Re: Washburn A10 - Where it was made?

If it was a USA model, it would be either an A20 or A30, and it would say "Washburn USA" "Hand-made in Chicago" on the headstock. It would also come with a Schaller trem, and Seymour Duncan pickups..........A headstock pic would solve it all, as that guitar would just say "Washburn Stage Series"............Who knows though, get a pic of the headstock, maybe he does have a USA one, but it sure wouldnt be a USA A10, as those do not exist........
