and wow ! i am impressed with it. the frets are nicely sized (they are 22's for those that want to know) and hte neck is slimmer than i imagined. the pickups give a nice bright crunchy sound ,they are definitely different than my JBS. the unplugged tone is amazing as well, it almost sounds like an acoustic. i would highly reccomend this guitar, especially since we cant get loophole v's anymore these days. gibson has done good with this line.

Re: so i landed a gibson 67 flying v
reissue? i had an original back in the 80's. it was a cool guitar. very meaty sounding, especially through my uncle's original plexi head. i wish i still had it, but i was only 15 and i got burnt on a trade (although it was during the time when you couldn't give away a gibson). oh well, i was happy at the time. i traded it toward a '62 fender bassman head...the guy gave me $45 for the V. the bassman was $125.00!! oh how great life was before the vintage market kicked in!! dad bought me a '69 triple pup les paul the same year for $350!!! smashed it like pete townsend because it wasn't "cool" like my red ESP M-II!!! just call me dumb ass!! some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!
some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!
and finally....
