Tim, you thieving bastard

Anyhoo, didn't the Spotlight Gibsons all have those single-spaced pickups? Or am I confusing my Gibson models again?

And hey, if you want the vintage Iommi tone, leave them pickups in there - that's sorta like what he had to use for the early stuff

      63 Les Paul Goldtop!

      [/ QUOTE ]

You mean '53? The Les Paul was the SG by '63, so no goldtops. Still, great story, killer score!

You know, the old lady said she bought it in 63.It never dawned on me that it could be older. My local music store wasn't much help, and since I don't play her that much, it never has been a issue to me.I just assumed it was a 63.I am going to get the serial number and do a little homework. I'll keep you guys posted and as soon as my 12 year old shows me how to take and post pictures, I'll get them up.
