I remember wanting one of those back when I was in college. I wanted either the bright red or the natural finish like that one. I thought the V220 looked better than Carvin's mutated Ultra V. By the way, I believe Craig Chauquico was pictued with a natural V220 in some of Carvin's ads.

I always thought they were kind of cool and knew someone in the '80s who had a red one.

Yeah, Carvin had some cool maple bodies back then! They actually will still build you one with a maple body... it's cool if you like a bright sound and heavier guitar.

I've got an all-maple (fretboard too!) '89 DC125...Good god, what a guitar. I'd kill for a black/ebony V220 with a tune-o-matic bridge.
