Re: Gibson Les Paul Custom pics!!

I am trying to find an LPC from the early 80's in that color. I'm actually high bidder on one now and it ends Tuesday.

Funny you said that as I have that on my watch list as well.
I have been checking these and they usually sell close to $2000 and if older lik early 70's, up to $3000 or even more sometimes. Very popular color in the market of LPC.
      Another information.
LPC from 81 will have Mahogany neck.
76-80, they have 3pc Maple neck like Zakk's.

This one is definately a 3pc mohogany neck.
Playing this guitar through my Mesa Studio 22 is heaven.

Looks great. I bet it has a wicked vibe to it. I bought a brand new Limited Colours addition LPC in Dec of 1990. It was white but you could see the grain of the maple through the top. It was very subtle. Real nice. I PAID $999! Man I wish I had that one back. Great Score.

Yea Jim, the vibe is there for sure. I am thinking about reinstalling the gold pickup covers if I can get them to fit perfectly. I am probably better off to sell all three pickups and buy 3 gold Gibson humbuckers. I was thinking:
            490R
            496R
            500T
Or maybe going with 3 Dimarzio cream Super Distortions just like Ace.
What did Randy Rhoads use in his Les Paul?

Randy's LPC, they are stock pickups.
              So they should be P-490.

I also heard cool thing about Gibson's new pickups.
              Burstbuckers.
Many Historic Gibsons do come with these.
People on Les Paul Forum love them!
Ask Steve(Speed Monkey), he loves them too.
