indeed...i have ummm quite a few japanese ibanezes, most of which are pretty dinged up but havent paid over 300 for any of them....most were in the 100-200 range and while they're ugly they play and sound fine...d.m.
RG7620 was the top of its era 7-string Japanese RG with a Lo-Pro Edge trem, not counting the Universe. RG7621 was the same thing except with a hardtail bridge.
The RG7420 was essentially the next step down from that. Still made in Japan, but had the "lesser" trem (Lo-TRS 7). RG7421 was the same thing except with a hardtail bridge, and it's so close to the RG7621 that if you had one, you weren't left wanting for an RG7621. But, you might if you had an RG7420 and really wanted the Gotoh-made trem instead of the Takeuchi-made trem.
i have a 7620 and now 2 7420's...my other 7420 has a german made floyd rose 7 on it...i'm debating whether this one needs a better tremor not as i have trems covered in the other 2 and i really don't use the bar that much on 7's...i mainly use them for rhythms...funny thing is? i'm not much of a 7 string player, i prefer 6, but i can't seem t turn down a deal lol...d.m.
