I just bought an Ibanez RG421MSP (the hardtail sparkle turquoise one) which has the Quantum pickups. Before purchasing, I did a lot of internet searching on reviews of these pickups, a lot of which were trashing them, but a lot saying people were prepared to swap them out but changing their mind once they had the guitar in hand. I like them a lot, the RG421 has a position on the 5-way switch that puts the neck pickup in parallel mode, which gives a great clean sound. The bridge pickup sounds great for hard rock/metal. Very happy with the pickups (and the guitar overall is great, especially for the price). -

I've got an RGRT421 with Quantums in. They're pretty good: crisp and clear. They don't sound as good as the Oil City pickup I have in my Soloist, but then not much does tbh
