Re: New LPC pics..

What band were you in? At the time, I was in Aftershock.
We were a power trio and opened regularly for Twisted Sister and Zebra. Did you ever play at The Rising Sun?
We played all the large clubs, The Rising Sun(slum) L'amours, Streets, Union Jack, The Showplace, The Crazy Horse,Take Five etc...

Re: New LPC pics..

My bands name was East Wall. We played all up and down the east coast. Most gigs were within a few hours from where I am. But we went all the way down to the Florida Keys and back. We played Saratoga Winners in Albany,NY(kinda our home club) The Lost Horizon in Syracuse, The Chance, The Strand in Povidence RI, we also playd another "The Strand" in Watertown, CBGB's, The Stone Pony, L'amours, I think we also played The Crazy Horse, I'm not sure about The Rising Sun. (It's all a blur to me.) And Oh yeah, I almost forgot about The Station in RI (historic now or at least it was) It's the club that Great White burned down. (that was a shocker. I couldn't stop thinkin' about it for weeks)

We were the last band to play The Crazy Horse before they took Vinny Pastore (Big Pussy from The Soprano's) away in handcuffs. He used to own it and he paid us everytime we played there.

Here is my review after owning this guitar for a few weeks now.
Likes:
Fantastic thick big tone.
Very comfortable neck for playing rhythm guitar.
Outstanding vintage vibe.
Its fun to play and own a guitar that almost everybody wants! I can literally hear gasps when I open the case. Everybody wants to play it.
Dislikes:
It is bottom heavy (unbalanced) and requires a strap even if you are sitting down.
The access to the upper frets stinks.

I prefer my Ibanez guitars but its pretty cool owning an early 70's LPC.

Hey JG a little off-topic but what was that model of Ibanez that you are really into?

I like the early models right after they stopped making the Radius series. 540Pro, and the hum/sing/hum Sabers. My next guitar is going to be a JS1000. I also need to get a USRG30 and a USRG10.

Re: New LPC pics..

All LPs are bottom heavy - I love the fact you can tilt it up and it stays put.
Funny thing, I always wanted a Les Paul Cuss'em in white (no, not you, Sam - nor your wife ) and when I got that one, I realised it just ain't for me
My Standard does me just fine for a Les Paul. I wouldn't mind snagging a Goldtop one day, though.

And yeah that natural/oiled mahogany neck feels soooooooo right

Yea Newc, it plays and sounds really good. My bandmate is Mr. Les Paul. He has lots of them. His favorite is his new Historic custom shop. His 71 mint condition Gold Top is my favorite. What a cool guitar.

Yeah, I've always loved that fact, too. One thing I noticed about my Jackson JJP is that it's actually top heavy (mainly because it's thinner and a tiny bit lighter than a real LP) and the neck will tilt down a little with its regular DiMarzio Cliplock strap, but when I put my leather Cliplock strap on it that I normally use on my Les Paul Studio, it sits fine.
