  • PRS Singlecuts - Any collector's value?

Now that these guitars are becoming a little more scarce I am wondering if anyone thinks they will actually appreciate in value or not... and does anyone know about how many were made? I just thought about this because I went to a couple guitar centers this weekend and did not see any on the walls.

Possibly but IIRC the injunction was at the trial court level so PRS may still prevail on appeal and win back the right to sell these in the US. Even if they lose on appeal it's important to remember that the ruling won't have any impact outside the USA - they'll still be free to sell these everywhere else in the world. Whether they'll choose to do so or not is another question though if I were them that's exactly what I'd do. The lawsuit has been excellent publicity for the model and it's likely that there'll be a fairly solid demand overseas.

I'm with Shawn on this one. They sat in the shops and rotted, you could get them for almost 50% off list. The PRS reps I have talked to expressed the opinion that they will win and what happens next in the crazy world of guitars is anyones guess.

Man I would love to own one of these. The two we have at work would eat a Les Paul for breakfast.

It would take 20-30years to find out.

I just played a tremonti model this weekend- I was skeptical when my bro bought it last year. But damn the guitar plays nice. The neck is fatter and wider on this than the other PRS I have played.
