I'm a Gibson fanatic and one of the first to admit that you can get a real winner or a toad from hell. I have found though that if you'll shop at a Diamond Dealer, they tend to carry the really good stuff.

Its the biggest collection of them in the world. As for basses, Drew the designer is going to dig up his logs to see how many were produced but most people peg it at 4 total, 2 protos, 2 production models. The one I have is number 2, and I know the guy who has number 1. Drew thinks he actually built 70 basses, but that figure may actually include the Nikki Sixx basses as well.......I have only seen 3 in my life.....

Germandeth, as much as I love Gibsons, I must say that Robin must hold its own against them. I dont think Ive ever seen a stop tail Medley. Is it a custom order?.........

Yes, the Robin is a Custom Shop Medley. Not only in the entire body "flamed," but so is the fretboard, back of the neck, and the headstock. It's loaded with Rio Grande Muy Grande humbuckers.

My son says it's the only guitar in my collection that actually promotes playing above the 9th fret. It's truly an amazing guitar to play.

Accept2 no wonder a Mother F%$ker can't find a Guild Blade Runner to save his life you have like 10 of them Just give up the black one or one of the white ones with the black fade in the middle of the guitar. I could always refin the pink one if you sold that one to me I guess.

I've taken a few closeups of the Robin to show the "striping."

What is that pointy white thing? Looks like an old Peavey headstock.

The Larrivee is a custom jobbie made by Jean. It sat in the Larrivee museum for almost 20 years, and was used as a piece of art and for promotion of Larrivee. I dont play it......................

Re: The Post your Guitars Thread.

It's a Malmsteen that has a Seymour Duncan humbucker in the bridge position. The previous owner also dressed it up with a fancy smancy pickguard. One of the selling points to this guitar (other than it was in great shape and I got a wonderful deal) is that it didn't have that god forsaken YJM Stacked Humbucker.
