    Re: New Thorn #48

Shawn, I think you and I share the same problem. I have a small collection of really nice Jackson and Gibson USA's. But find myself picking up the Samick alot of the time, not only because it plays and sounds great, but because I don't have to worry about it.

I don't really worry too much about that aspect of it at all. I will say that my main axe is that SG standard I got from you with no finish, so there is nothing to ruin to begin with. For me it's more a matter of what feels best in my hands. The other day when I was practicing speed stuff with my metronome and Strat, I had to put the strat away and pick the SG up simply because it is such a faster, better feeling neck for that sort of thing. When I moved on to playing chords and fingerstyle stuff though, I grabbed the strat back up, because that just feels so natural to play in those situations. I dream of the day when I get that one guitar that does absolutely everything well, but I haven't found it yet.
