Re: Sullycaster Arrives!

after some mental deliberation and a lot of swearing, it should be able to be fixed by doweling the treble side, and redrill for larger bushings/floyd posts. since it intonates as it is now, it's not that far off, so i don't think that it's as catastrophic as i'd thought.

ugh, this may wind up in the tech folder soon.

maybe if you just let it sit outside in the delaware cold for a while it'll straighten out. I blame texas for this.

You could also just take a grinder to the right pivot point. I'll bet you wouldn't have to back the opening in more than 1/16" or so to straighten it.

Damn, I feel for ya Sully, but as stated earlier, it's not the mistake. It's how you handle correcting the mistake. Thats what people will remember and that goes for any business. I've been there and it feels pretty shitty, but we are our own worst critic so listen to us when we tell you that we'd still all do business with you becasue of how you handle your business. Not because of some mistake that can be easily fixed.

Yea, by admitting a mistake and then offering a solution, you'll never be able to land a job at Gibson's Custom Shop. By the way, that's a wonderful finish on the guitar. Good Job!
