GMW has landed

This came today and is very cool. This will be my first 1 3/4" neck, but from what I have played with it so far, doesn't seem to be too much of a change. Sorry the pics are bad, but it's already dark and my camera sucks in the house at night. [image][/image] [image][/image]

I don't like the pick up ring, but none the less I'm starting to like the blood drips more and more, Maybe an ebony board would be cooler. I'm sure it plays SWEET though, I've never played a bad GMW

I agree with Drs, You could have asked shinny pickup ring instead.
That would look better to match the body color.

It's a good thing pickup bezels are cheap and easy to change.

How are people getting these guitars with stratheads? I thought GMW wasn't producing them anymore. Were these orders that were placed before Fender threw a fit?

I ordered this guitar and a couple others before the storm hit. The picture makes the ring look wierd, but it looks fine in person. When you say a shinny ring are you refering to a metal ring?

I wasn't really knoking it, If I ordered it it would be just a tad different. But Like I said, I've never played a bad Gmw, and I'm sure that neck is KILLER

Not a Metal ring.
It is a plastic ring that you see on many guitars.
Some guitars do come with rings like yours including the Big Red JCF02 guitar.
ALso recent Jackson guitars do come with these as well.
Wayne guitars do come with these too.
When the last time Lee was changing some pickup rings on my guitars, I asked I prefer the shinny ones.
