I saw them open for Dio last week. He played 3 or 4 Washburn's and I 1 Jackson. He had a cool looking Matrix one. They were very tight.

I think the Matrix one is Jackson.
Boogie Street, I bet they would sell these at very high price..

What's with the pentagram/Anthrax thing anyway? When did they turn Satanic?

Yea, I noticed that too.
He even had that on his Black Arch top Jackson too.

Re: Scott Ian\'s new Washburn

The Washburn looks like a pretty nice guitar, but it's nothing that Jackson couldn't have done just as well or even better. I wonder where Washburn got the idea for that one. I'm sure Scott got a huge endorsement deal, so it's kinda hard to blame him. Since Fender bought Jackson and raised the prices on everything, you would think there would be plenty of money floating around to keep current and get some new Jackson endorsers. Dave's gone, Scott's gone. Who's next?!? Phil Collen is the only big name that comes to mind still on the Jackson roster. Jackson should be more aggressive in signing players, especially with the mega corporate dollars from Fender. They need bigger advertising campaigns and promotions to get the word out to the young kids that seem to only know ESP, PRS, Gibson, Ibanez, etc. ESP and others have stolen from Jackson for years. I say it's time for Jackson to return the favor.

Ok, I'm done

Re: Scott Ian\'s new Washburn

I think they're doing a little better...they got Kevin Bond, Mark Morton, Chris Halslip, and that guy in Machine Head (name slips my mind). I think young kids who only know about PRS, ESP, Gibson and Ibanez would recognize those guys faster than Phil Collen. But they do need to kick it up a few notches.

Re: Scott Ian\'s new Washburn

It really looks cool. Alot like the Wing Series Washburn made in the early 70s. When Ace Frehley was with Washburn, he too wanted to have a signature model based on the Wing Series, but Washburn didnt like the idea, and gave him the AF40 model instead which was based on the G70 model. Ace hated it, but loved the old Wing. At least this time Washburn listened to the endorsee and actually made the signature model a guitar he would play.............

Speaking of Scott and Washburn, I think it was about two years ago I told everybody this was in the works and you all blasted me for it...remember...
"no, no, Scott wouldn't leave Jackson...I saw them live last week and Scott was using Jacksons all night...it can't be true..."

Umm humm...keep talkin...
