ESP has been making stars for a long time now. there is a japanese endorsee who uses the same guitar as that but with different inlays. & itsbeen his signature model for sometime now. & IIRC his even have the jackson headstock.

Yep, Akira Takasaki from Loudness. But the headtock is not jackson, but even more "pissy" than most ESP ´stocks [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I think these ESP "Stars" are recent. I've seen him with a different ESP "Star" before, similar to those Akira ones:

That is another Akira's Star.
Placement of the 3way and mini switch are all the same.
He had a lot of variations and I have seen maybe 30 of these in different colors,pickups,bridges and with or without mirror pickguards
