US made ones say made in usa on the headstock, and have the serial number on the headstock..........

E 8 would be an 88 model.The photo of the headstock looks to be a late contemorary 22 MIJ model.I had an E6 (eighty six) conteporary 22 MIJ with a DiMarzio super 2 and series 1 trem. Great guitar but sub standard trem IMO.
