Good call on ditching the McCartys - try some Rio Grandes they would sound awesome in there.

It is much more green than the pics on eBay showed. Which is definitely okay since I have a GMW in Toru Blue due in the next month or so.

Fritz, I don't think you could go wrong with the BBQ/Genuine Texas combo. These pickups sound great in almost any situation...and you can get them covered if you want to keep the look.

I've heard great stuff about all of their pickups. I have a set of Teles and a P-90 and they all sound great. I've not had a chance to try any humbuckers yet. One thing I've heard from a lot of folks is that when you coil tap them they sound awesome - they really spent a lot of effort on making the tapped tone sound like a real single coil. I don't know if that's important to you.

It most certainly is a GREAT player, Sir Charles. I really like the neck profile on the GMPs. Round and a little on the thicker side of thin but not boat neck thick.
