• Guitar Trader : Yea or Nay?

How is www.guitartrader.com for service?

My birthday is the 16th ( ) and i am in serious need of this:

http://www.guitartrader.com/itempg.i...amp;numitems=6

Guitar Trader is the only person that has that. It not even on Fender's website (unless I missed it) and that is EXACTLY what I want, the price is pretty hot too, for an american strat.

How is Guitar Trader as far as service, shipping speed, order processing, all that stuff? They arent one of the main stores (MF, Music123, Sameday, ZZounds)

So is the service Really Good? Kinda Poor? I need to know, im going to order this . . . "Strathead" soon.

Thanks.

this is the "new" Guitar Trader....not to be confused with the original Guitar Trader from the 70's and 80's.

It seems to me the name was bought by a big retailer, unlike the original who was run by a crook.

Why not try one of JCF dealers?
Maybe they will beat the price and better customer service for sure.
I think Matt,Easton and Wild West guitars carry Fender.
Matt gives free shipping and no tax(You are in TX and if you are buying from Easton, I can imagine you will end up paying the state tax...)

Re: Guitar Trader : Yea or Nay?

I bought a limited edition destroyer (DT420) from them in May 2003. The price was the best I had seen on those guitars. They were always sold out when I inquired about them at other stores. When I called them to inquire about availability, they were very helpful and polite. It turned out that they only had two left. One on display and one still sealed. I ordered the sealed one while still on the phone. I don't remember any delay at all in receiving it. I believe it shipped either the same day or the next. The only problem I had was that my address was incorrect, luckily I spotted the UPS truck close to my neighborhood and asked if he had a guitar to deliver. He did and stated the street didn't exist. Hooked on phonics doesn't work all of the time. If you order by phone, be sure to have them read and spell back the address. It shouldn't be a problem in you order online. I hope this helps.

I bought a pickup from them a year or so ago and had no problems. They seemed pretty responsive.

I ordered the SG faded from them when they first came. No problems. I'd deal with them again.
