  • Guitars with Piezos

I'm looking to get an electric with Piezos. Other than a Parker Fly or an Ibanez RG series, what are my other options?

    Thanx,
    Peter

Godin LG series are cool. I had an LGXT which also has the 13-pin output for Roland gear like the VG-88 and MIDI stuff like the GR-33. I still have a Godin Multiac which is a nylon string with Piezos and 13-pin output. Godin makes great stuff.

Another interesting guitar is the Fender Nashville Power Tele - it's like having a Strat, Tele, and Piezo in one guitar.

Brian Moore also makes some Piezo equipped stuff - careful with these though - I've not been impressed with the low-end guitars from Brian Moore though - the high-end stuff is nice but very expensive.
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

You could check out a EB/MM Petrucci model. Those things are pretty sweet. Also, check into a Hamer Duotone. I don't believe it has a piezo, but being a hybrid electric/acoustic, it would give you some wickid acoustic tones.

Carvin offers piezos as an option on both its fixed bridge and Wilkinson-equipped guitars.

Wendler Electrocoustics are outstanding, as well, but they don't use your traditional piezo system. Dave's site is down right now, but it should be back up in a few days. www.electrocoustic.com
