• JET Guitars

As the post states, I really want one that is over on the WCG website. Anyone played/seen/own one or have any opinions about em. The main reason holding me back from getting one is who I have to get it from. If I am ready to purchase, should I have any problems?

Thanks
Come and get one in the yarbles, if you have any yarbles, you yunick jelly thou!

Re: JET Guitars

Yea, I played several Earlewoods. Just awesome guitars. Check out www.infinityguitars.com. They are in Houston, Tx. Great Dealer and has many in stock with custom features. Custom builds from Jeffery are 4 months. The only thing holding me back is the money. But for the money you get one of the best electric guitars on the planet IMO of course. check out "non charvel/jackson related" section of the forum for info about WCG...I'd say you're gonna save yourself and your wallet a lot of pain by not going there with your purchase.

Has anyone here had experience with Infinity Guitars? The inventory looks very similar to Ed Roman's.

Yes, I've bought some items over at Infinity. On the high end stuff, he has mostly JET in stock. For general all around stuff he's got lower end instruments to keep om an even keel. With Christmas season upon us Infinity sold quite a few of the JET guitars that they had in stock. Infinity has nothing to do with ED. I think Jeff woke up and realized he needed another shop to sell his guitars. Turn around times for custom orders are 4 months, not bad considering Jackson CS at 12 months or more!

I guess it's safe to say that JET probably has nowhere NEAR the workload of the Jackson Custom Shop...
I'd love to try one of those JET guitars one day, to see what the hype is all about
However...4 G's is gonna get me a rreaal nice Jackson CS too, so.....

JET is on a whole different level, build-wise. Most of them don't actually sell for $4k, either.

Re: JET Guitars

Yea, if you are looking at the bottom to mid on the scale of options, your looking at $5K minimum. The 5K guitars I played had some really nice features. The options that I want, I was quoted at 6.5K. That kind of money IMO is crazy no matter who's guitar it is. But if I were to put up say a '59 Gibson Historic Les Paul Curly Burl or Flame top re-issue, and had the money to spend, I would go with the JET easily. It's that well constructed of a guitar. Jeff offers 6A flame tops that are stained to look almost 3D when you look at one close. For a solid body electric guitar I was amazed at how much the JET resonates. You can really tell this when unplugged.
