I own a SL-2H that i love but i cant afford another and i need a back up fast for some upcoming shows.
I need a neck thru, two bucker metal machine like my jackson?
I was curoius about these?
http://www.musicyo.com/product_specs.asp?pf_id=002
they have the right construction(alder body,floyd,neck thru,two hummers,pointy head)
I would swap out the pu's on it,anyone own one of these?
good points?

If it's not a CHARVEL then i dont want to play it,look at it or even fuckin THINK about it!

a buddy of mine has one and he loves it. he changed the pickups and had it set up professionally and it's all he plays.
GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

I hadn't heard of this model, so I have no idea about the quality or any experience with it but --- $329!! Wow. I'm really curious to hear from anyone that has actually played one or owns one.

I've never played any of the new Kramers, but I've heard some pretty good things.
I actually think those Quad Rail pups are pretty decent, though. I bought a H/S/S pickguard from them a couple years ago and put in a friend's old Epiphone Strat copy... they rocked!!

wow really? hey that would be great to be able to just use/keep the stock pups
I figured i would have to shell out at least another $120 for two big name pups but hey if they sound good they would stay

Yeah, if you get that guitar, definitely put the pups through their paces to see if they're for you. A couple people on here have said they liked them, others said they didn't care for them.

yeah i will give them a good testing live and on recording but i still am dying to try that X2N!
it keeps callin me!
if the stock quadrails dont work out i would go X2N bridge and a super II neck i suppose
or 81/89

thanks! i been looking over the net and it seems to me that this is the best bang for the buck jackson soloist type around?
most i see are bolt ons(dxmg-dk-2,RG's) or they have a single coil pup in the middle spot(rg's,dk-2's) which i dont want.
so i guess i will consider myself fortunate to find these and order a baretta in metallic black and hope for the best
a used SL-2 is over $700 and there is no way i can afford that right now

The only thing keeping me from one of those is the 1 5/8" nut width.

I didn't even think of that! Yeah, for what the Baretta costs, you can pick up a used Mod 5 or 6. I've had my model 6 since new, and it's still my #1.
But I will say, the Baretta is a good deal for a new guitar.
