I was wanting the opinions of anyone that has/have played or owned one of the Agile Les Paul copy guitars. I'm wanting a cheap Les Paul alternative and their name keeps popping up with good reviews. Real quilted canadian maple top, real mahogany body, set neck, hand filed frets, grover tuners. The list goes on and you can get them for $249 brand new. Most people say that they're better then a Epiphone. What do you all think?

Re: opinions on Agile Les Paul copies
I had a fretless one so I can't comment on the fretwork. The rest was quite impressive. I'd say they're as good as most Epiphones and considerably cheaper.I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

They may not be as good, I don't know since I haven't tried an older on but I have had my "new" LR for a few months now and I still love playing the thing. The fret work, wiring and everything else is flawless.

Re: opinions on Agile Les Paul copies
Another option that people tend to forget...the Dean EVO.
The quality on these guitars is amazing, and you can get them pretty cheap on ebay.
If you're willing to spend a little more, you can buy one of the EVOs made in Czecholslvaakddiekidiakskklsa. (They're not made there anymore, but you can still find them on ebay.) They're basically handmade, and quality is supposedly off the hook.
One of the great things about the EVO is the contoured heel...gives you amazing upper fret access for a Les Paul type guitar.

surprisingly, it plays as good as it looks. i like it because it IS a little different from a gibson. i wanted the LP vibe without having a les paul, so it was perfect!!GEAR:
