My '04 LP Studio worn/faded cherry "Vintage Mahogany" Musician's Fiend exclusive model. Even the carved top is mahogany. It was hard to take pics of this with the faded finish, but the last one shows it darker and how it looks more in person. Pups were changed out to an EMG ZW set with the 85 in the bridge and 81 in the neck. Then I swapped out the neck for a chrome 25th anniversary 81 to give it that Jimmy Page kinda look. And I changed the standard tailpiece to a fine-tuning TP6.

And the chrome 81 set came out of the Hamer I sold to you, Travis. And no, you're not getting this one!
And not only do my DiMarzio Super Distortions want to battle with your Duncan Distortions at 3 o'clock in the parking lot, the EMGs do as well! Are you ready to rumble?!? I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

Getting some severe Les Paul GAS now... The sound of the 85 in the bridge of a full mahogany guitar must be supreme low-end chunk!

Yes, it's got some very nice low-end chunk, and nice high mids which I like, too.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

Re: Les Paul Vintage Mahogany pics
They're awesome dude, nice high gain but very warm sounding. I tried them in both a '78 Les Paul Custom Silverburst and an '80 Silverburst LP that Les himself signed. With the '80, I had the chance to try the guitar with the stock pickups first. Anyway these pickups sound great, they're kind of expensive but if you get a chance, give one a try!
