    Re: Ibanez Saber Value?

The original case for mine is oblong. The neck profile is extremely thin front to back. Kind of uncomfortable, but I'm not used to playing it, and hopefully it'll grow on me. I initially thought there was a wood crack at the Floyd nut bolts, but it's only in the finish. The neck has some great figure and a nice amber tint. I'm liking the thin bady, and the pickup switching is real versatile. The sgl. coils sound great, but I'm not liking the DiMarzio HB.

the bridge pickup takes a while to get used to. i pulled mine out last night and it sounded heavenly, but last time i played it i thought it sounded like ass. the best sounds to me are when it is combined with one of the single coils.

mine has a hairline finish crack by the bolts on the back of the neck also.

really it's a great guitar once you get used to it. fantastic for those days you are feeling like you can't play.
      GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

      and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

There would be alot more shredders around if they started off playing Sabers. I like mine so much I don't play it. I just open the case once in a while and change the battery (It is loaded with an EMG81/SA/SA)
It suits me just fine knowing that when I have the need for speed I can break it out.
