Most places that ban free accounts will let you in on a case by case basis by simply emailing the moderators. I've had success with that on a number of sites.

Lily is the moderator over at les paul forum and she seems really reasonbile, i would try emailing her and pleading your case.

Exactly and the LPF is a good tight run place but they are reasonable

Forgot to follow up on this topic. VERY MANY thanks to Toru for letting me use his account to post a topic there. I learned quite a lot just by READING there alone.
