Yesterday a sales rep at Sam Ash told me that BC Rich went bankrupt. Anyone know anything about this. I am sure someone will buy them out and keep it going. Maybe everyone’s buddy Ed Roman can buy them again

Re: BC Rich bankrupt?
Ed Roman never bought BC Rich in any way shape or form. Class Axe bought the rights to BC Rich years ago then Bernie Sr got the rights back. The only thing Ed has is a bunch of body blanks that are NOT from the pre-Class Axe era. All of those went to Neal Moser and GMW.

Judging by the poor quality/craftsmanship of their recent USA models, I'm wouldn't be surprised.

If they were to go bankrupt then it would be because of that stuff. My friend got an American made Mockingbird recently and I've got to say I was not impressed.
But then it's the case with lots of guitar companies. Build quality keeps falling while prices keep going up.I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine. - Ayn Rand

[/ QUOTE ] ---so are you saying that the american handmades are crap?I never got to play a new one I have an 86 warlock MIUSA(bolt-on)plays awesome?I have been very tempted to order a new usa wave neckthru but never got to play a new Rich.we have no dealers that keep any in stock in my area or usa Jacksons for that matter.so I wont buy unless I can play one first to get an idea.I made that mistake with a usa Jackson I owned. It was a 2000 SL2 quality was nice but I hated it.I couldn't get use to the neck.I had played the 80's and early 90's models prior and loved them.I didn't know that Jackson changed the dimesions of the necks.the newer models necks are to wide for Me.So I sold the 2000 and got a 93 SL1 which I love.Anyway,How are the necks on the rich's compared to the Jacksons and what exactly made you not like your buds Rich?---Mark

Exactly what I was thinking, Sam Ash got the Axe from BC and so now salesmen have to find out how to move the crap that´s already in stock ASAP
