Thanks guys. I like that Carvin's string thru body feature. And that Vintage VRS100STS is cool as well. I hadn't seen those before. Are those exclusive to the UK?
Yeah I got a quote from Ron and he is awesome to deal with I was going to get a BRW Set neck but I ran out of cash for it... I am thinking about a thorn this year though for sure... Or a Driskill

Tets, you got one of those Carvins? If so, how is it. I always wanted to hear what they were like from someone other than the guyus over on the Carvin board.
Travis I don't actually but I can say on the BAM (PRS Forums) there are some awesome reports from guys who have gotten them as backups to their PRS. That is a good indication to me that they are good. One guy even was impressed with the pickups.

Carvin's always made great pickups... there's people that use them exclusively in guitars other than Carvins. In the three Carvins I've owned, all had the regular "classic" C22 pups (which are a little on the bright side and don't have all that much gain, kinda like a classic PAF), and they do sound sweet. Never tried any of the other models, but I've heard nothing but great things.

To me the best looking PRS type guitar is the Carvin. I would never buy one though, I'm crazy about the super strat body shape. I do however own two Carvins already and I must say, some of the best guitars I've ever played.
