I'm a "USA snob" as well but the other night I tried a fairly new Gibson explorer which cost the owner much $...for the life of me it didn't feel any different in my hands than an epiphone. the craftsmanship was wayy below my sl2h. and it cost him a good bit more....now let's not get into that discussion so THAT BEING SAID, I totally respect people who want gibson not epi's...especially the LP which is another ballgame than the explorer IMO.
Just like I'd buy the RR-1 rather than RR-3...no wait, it doesn't have 24 frets [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
