  • Warmoth changes

Checked out Warmoth's site today, and I see they are now referring to their headstocks as "Strat," "Jackson," "Explorer," etc. They used to call them by another name, e.g., the small "Strat" headstock was "S head" or something like that. Prices are up, too. The basic maple/maple Strat neck used to start at $132 or $136. It now starts at $157.

Interesting. Warmoth has also posted on its site a copy of its licensing agreement with Fender. It's a 22 MB Acrobat file!

          Re: Warmoth changes

I bought a Warmoth neck a few months ago (September, 2004, I believe). At that time, Warmoth was designating the small Strat-style headstock design as "S" or "S-caster" or something like that. I remember because I had to confirm exactly what the term meant when placing my order to be sure I didn't get a neck delivered with the big "CBS" shaped headstock. In fact, Warmoth's site still makes reference to an "S-caster" HERE. Since this refers to an odd guitar (double-neck), I would guess they haven't got around to changing that page of the site yet.

They have been using the "Fender" names for awhile now. Some of the old terminology is still used on the website. They are continually working on the site. There's alot of content on that web page!
