Re: Authorized GMP Dealers

Greg is being modest, his prices are right in line with most of the other GMP dealers. He also has a great reputation.

Oh man there are 3 pices I would love to have form BCR, 1st that tiger Explorer, only if it didn't have that inlay, 2nd the Ghost flame Pawn shop, and 3rd I really like that all white Firebird, clean simple, nice. I am really considering getting a GMP hear nothing but good about them.

I was thinking that maybe that one would go nicely with my tiki guy Roxie.

It would go nice, you would have a cool tropical theme. How do you like it, are they everything I here they are.

Re: Authorized GMP Dealers

It's very cool, I like it a lot. The only thing I'd add to my earlier post is that the neck developed a little bow after it arrived, a bit more than I'd consider normal given what I've seen over the years. I'm going to let it acclimate for a few more weeks before adjusting it but I'm sure it'll be fine.

Re: Authorized GMP Dealers

Nothing to it. GMP uses a terrific truss rod assembly, twist and go without fear.

Your problem is probably humidity related. A guitar in a more humid area will develop back bow as the fingerboard absorbs moisture. This time a year, I see it a lot as many of us have the heat on right now, which dries boards and causes "ski jumps neck". Move your truss rod in 1/4 turn increments until you are there. Allow 3-4 hours afterwards to make sure and OFF YOU GO!!!!

Re: Authorized GMP Dealers

Greg is right about the GMP truss rod. The first time I adjusted mine I thought it was f**ked. It turned so easily ?? Never had one the didn't stick a liitle or creak.

I was wrong, they are just very well made.

Re: Authorized GMP Dealers

I want to give a quick thanks to Greg.
I asked him a quick question about a GMP SG on Monday and he blew my mind by Tuesday afternoon.
He's been an awesome guy to deal with since I called him over a year ago.
