Firebirds

I'm looking into getting with someone that can make me "King Style" Firebirds, but without a 2 year wait. I'm in the process of completing a album, and though I would rather sit back and collect the royalties, I have to get my hands dirty and actually play with the band. Being 6'6, its the only guitar that looks different than anything today, and size wise "correct". Jackson is a no go, as we know, and Gibson...Anyway... I never asked Jackson, I'd Play a King Kelly with the Cuts, or King V with Cuts and pinstripe. I have offers from companies to play " 1 custom, then stock stuff". But in the long run I would need 4 'Birds (tuning reasons - 1 Back Up each).


Any suggestions.

Being a Touring tech years ago, I have alot of Ideas....Wonder where ESP got the Idea for the SG style Basses and such? Bastards...

Nope. After owning a ton of Gibson Birds, I like the GMP head. The high E string is shorter, so the tension feels more Les Paul like to me. It's not a mile out there, either.

Yea, the headstock kills the rest of the appearance, IMO.

I dig the headstock. I never liked that goofy Gibson headstock. Go GMP !!!

Goofy?!?!....C'mon man...the original Firebird headstock makes the guitar! They are the perfect compliment to each other! (IMO-of course)
