Import maple tops?

I'm looking for an import gtr to get me close to a
LP sound, so I can spare my LPC from the ravages
of the practice loft.

Does anyone know if the LP/PRS-ish imports from Ibanez,
Schecter, and ESP have actual maple caps over mahogany
or are they just veneers?

ibanez sz series -

even the lowest model - 320 - has mahogany + set neck + binding + maple top (not veneer) + imho the 320 looks the best from all sz's

Yah, I'm leaning toward the SZ320 right now. Any idea
how thick the top is?

Check out some of the Korean Hamers. You might need to upgrade the pickups and electronics, but in my opinion, I'd do that with almost any imoprt anyway.
