The cool factor is very high, but $1000 seems a bit much to me.

I have seen that one.
It looks bit strange to have that headstock and also bolt on.
Also the end strap pin is located very strange.

The gig bag reminds me of a purse, especially with that handle!

Is the neck strap pin also functioning as a neck bolt as well?

Gibson made a run of V's with the explorer headstock. I wouldnt pay a grand for one of those and definetly not for this one.

why not? they're a much more rare model, and I would prefer one over the traditional Gibson V design

for one thing the hardtail trem seems out of place on what has accents of a somewhat shredder.

I was thinking about asking Warmoth if they would do a Flying V body with a '67 shoulder on the top and a '58 cut on the bottom. Now I don't think I will.
please don't put it into words, 'cause I fear what you're thinking

I agree Ron....it is kinda homely looking. Kinda reminds me of an Ibeenhad Proline V with that skewed bottom cutaway.

Rare is trumped by ugly in this case. I actually like Gibson stile Jackson V's with the pointy hs, but the explorer hs just doesnt go with the V imo. I think that explorers have a bit of a curve in the back giving them a swoopy tail end and having the a curvy hs kind of frames it. V's being angular and straight are best capped off with pointy hs's, again imo.

I think that it is cool because it is not a straght rip-off of the Gibson like you would expect ESP to produce. However, I would still take a KV or RR without even thinking about it.
